Pearls

Everyone needs something to smile about every day.  ‘Pearls Before Swine’ is one of my favorite cartoons.  I love how the characters play off of one another and how the facial expressions tell a story all their own.

I was able to meet Stephan Pastis once.  He gave a talk in Walnut Creek that we attended.  He used to be an attorney and he hated it – probably not enough to smile about!  He was very personable and down-to-earth.  His cartoon strip is #1 in America, it makes me smile that I had the opportunity to meet him. 

His cartoons are smart and funny – something that makes me smile!
