Little Children

One of my favorite things about our local farmer’s market is the little children.  There is something so amazing about how they look at things around them.  They have such wide eyes and they are in awe of everything.

Every week there is some kind of live music.  It’s amazing to watch the little ones as they get closer to the music – they begin to move – they can’t help themselves.  They dance and spin and they aren’t inhibited at all by the many people watching.

One of my favorite things is seeing little children holding the hand of their parent.  It is a position of protection on one side and trust on the other and it makes me smile to see a child willingly and happily holding that protective adult hand.

There are a lot of lessons watching little children – and it takes a lifetime to learn them all.
