Cold Little Flower

We are expecting snow in the Bay Area tonight.  I will likely sleep right through it.  It's really a novelty and I would love to see it and take some pictures.

The last time it snowed in this area was in 1976...people are still talking about it and showing their pictures from that time.  It's funny what memories come to the fore - even after 35 years.  It would be nice to see....then I'll have a snowy memory for this area too!

I saw this flower and thought about how it reminded me of the beauty of snow...as well as the hope for spring.
